How it works.
1. Snap or import the voucher
Point Tallywise at a printed coupon — or paste a screenshot of an in-app voucher from the Dunnes Stores or SuperValu app. Tallywise reads the amount (€5 off, €10 off…), the spend it needs, the dates it's valid, and the barcode.
2. Show it at the till
Open your wallet, tap the coupon, and Tallywise fills the screen with the same barcode the cashier would scan from the printed slip. No more "I had one, I think it's in the car…"
3. Give it away, or request one
Got one you know you won't use? Tap the gift icon to give it away — it earns you Karma and joins the shared pool. Need one yourself? Open Request, pick the store and the coupon type, and Tallywise hands you whichever one expires soonest.

Every coupon in the pool came from someone else's Karma. Give one away, scan a receipt, or add a price and you earn it — a coupon's worth more Karma the further it is from expiring. Spend a little to request one: pick a store and a coupon type, and Tallywise hands you whichever one expires soonest. Run low and requesting pauses until you top back up.
Your Karma balance is private — nobody else sees it — and we never link your name or email to a coupon you give away; only its own details (value, conditions, dates, barcode) travel.
Common questions.
- Which shops are supported?
- Dunnes Stores and SuperValu money-off vouchers for now (the on-receipt and in-app variants). Other chains will follow as we get calibration data for their voucher formats.
- Will a coupon someone gave me work at the till?
- Usually — but coupons are issued by the retailer, not by Tallywise. They're typically single-use and time-limited. We can't verify that a shared coupon hasn't already been used; if a coupon's been used or refused, request a different one instead.
- What is Karma?
- Karma is Tallywise's fair-use score for the coupon pool — just points, not a currency. You earn it by giving a coupon away, scanning a receipt, or adding a price, and spend a little each time you request one from the pool. Only you can see your own balance.
- What about my privacy?
- Nothing about you is attached to a coupon you give away — only the coupon's own value, dates and barcode. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
- Is the barcode an exact match for the original?
- Yes. Tallywise renders the same barcode the printed voucher carries, full-screen and high contrast, so the cashier's scanner reads it just like the slip.
